Windows Server and Active Directory that don't depend on one person

Servers and the domain hold up sign-in, permissions and your company's applications. I keep them up to date, documented and ready to grow or to move to the cloud.

Signs you need it

  • There are servers nobody dares to restart or update.
  • New starters and leavers are handled by hand, and differently every time.
  • There's no documentation: everything lives in one person's head.
  • You're considering the cloud and don't know what can move and what can't.

What I do

  • Review and update of Windows Server and the Active Directory domain.
  • Clean, documented DNS, DHCP and group policies (GPO).
  • Device management with Intune or SCCM/MECM: updates and installs without going desk by desk.
  • Migration of legacy applications to current servers.
  • A phased plan to move Active Directory to Entra ID.
  • Documentation so any engineer can pick up the work.

I don't provide user support or device maintenance: your provider does that.

How I work

The same method in every area: understand first, then decide and, finally, do.

  1. Review

I review what you have, without touching anything, and tell you what works and what doesn't.

  2. Plan

Priorities by risk and cost, in writing. A project with a fixed scope and price, or as part of the monthly engagement.

  3. Execution

I do it myself, or coordinate it with your provider, with planned changes.

  4. Follow-up

I check that everything keeps working and leave it documented.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need servers in the office?

Not always. We review what has to stay on-premises and what can go to the cloud, and you decide with the costs and risks in writing.

Can you make changes outside working hours?

Yes. Risky changes are planned outside working hours and with a rollback plan.

What if the person who set up the domain has left?

It happens more often than you'd think. I review what's there, document it and tell you what is urgent and what can wait.

How do I hire you and how much does it cost?

A project with a fixed scope and price, or as part of the monthly engagement. Before starting I send you a written proposal with the scope and a fixed price. The first call is free.
