Florian, founder of Firmaltus

About me

I'm Florian, systems engineer and founder of Firmaltus

I've worked in IT for more than 7 years: first in telecommunications, then in systems, at an airport, on a hospital platform and in an international group. With Firmaltus I help SMBs in Valencia, with 15 to 150 people, understand and control their technology.

How I work

For more than seven years in IT I kept the systems of organisations like HBX Group and Valencia Airport running. I saw how many renewals, contracts and projects were approved without anyone explaining them clearly. That is why I started Firmaltus: to give you that clarity.

I work independently, with no commissions from any vendor or provider. Every finding comes with its proof, not with opinions.

Career

  1. 2017–2019

    Telecommunications TechnicianSatelvex

    Networksbusiness networks and communications

    • I helped deploy a fibre-optic ring and wireless networks for businesses, working on connectivity, security and incident resolution.
  2. 2021–2022

Systems AdministratorValencia Airport (AENA), via Sermicro

    24/724/7 critical infrastructure

    • I administered essential servers and systems in a continuously operating airport environment, where availability, monitoring and incident response were critical.
  3. 2022–2023

    IT EngineerCloud World Group

    ~400VMs · 15–20 hosts

    • I worked at an MSP serving multiple clients, carefully analysing their devices and infrastructure to assess their condition, needs and incidents. Across the managed environments there were around 400 virtual machines on 15–20 VMware and Hyper-V hosts.
    • I worked on the high-availability Hyper-V platform for Hospital La Fe (more than 60 critical virtual machines on N+1 clusters) and developed PowerShell automations that reduced provisioning time by approximately 30%.
  4. 2023–2025

    L3 Corporate Systems EngineerHBX Group

    7,000+corporate devices

    • I worked on managing and modernising systems for a multinational, contributing to security, automation, company integration and cost-optimisation projects. I created an automated device-deployment tool to support the technology integration of three acquired companies.
    • I built an internal tool (FileWatcher) in 3 days that avoided around $40,000 a year in AWS costs. I also contributed to the SharePoint Online migration and training more than 3,000 users.
  5. 2025–2026

    Systems AdministratorEurotrol

    3 siteshigh-availability network

    • I took on internal IT management for an international company with 3 sites: infrastructure, security, operational continuity, backups, vendor coordination, assessment of technology proposals and cost reviews.
    • I implemented a high-availability network across the 3 sites.

Other projects

  • Monitoring and incident management — I deployed a monitoring platform with PRTG integrated with PagerDuty to centralise alerts and improve coordination during infrastructure incidents.
  • Automation and operational efficiency — I developed tools and processes to reduce manual tasks, speed up deployments and simplify systems administration.
  • Hospital project — Collaboration with Brother and Fujitsu on a project for a hospital.
  • Technology communication — I create content about technology, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, making technical concepts accessible to non-specialists.

What I can do

  • Company integration

My own automated Windows deployment and configuration tool, similar in goal to Autopilot, to integrate 3 acquired companies.

  • Monitoring and response

Monitoring redesigned with PRTG integrated with PagerDuty, to centralise alerts and respond sooner to critical incidents.

  • Security and compliance

Global-scale GPOs, MFA, conditional access, SAML SSO, BitLocker and controls aligned with Spain's ENS.

  • Automation and reporting

PowerShell tools for provisioning, deployments and reports; FileWatcher avoided around $40,000 a year in AWS costs.

  • Infrastructure modernisation

VMware migrations, file servers moved to SharePoint Online (3,000+ users trained) and device refreshes with SCCM and Intune.

  • L3 troubleshooting

Complex infrastructure incidents solved at the root and documented, so the team becomes more self-sufficient.
